truuimage sets 3 cookies, all of them first-party, and all of them there to keep you signed in. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers — not as a policy choice we are asking you to take on trust, but because the application contains no such code to load.

We do not sell or share what these cookies contain, and none of them follows you to any other site.

Every item listed below is strictly necessary: it exists so that the service you explicitly asked for — logging in to your account — can work at all. Under the ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)) and the equivalent guidance elsewhere, storage of that kind does not require prior consent, and the same conclusion follows under Canada’s PIPEDA, which requires that you be told clearly rather than that you opt in.

So what you see on the site is a notice, not a consent gate. We think that is the honest presentation. A banner with a “Reject” button would imply a choice that does not exist: refusing your session cookie does not give you a more private version of truuimage, it gives you one you cannot sign in to. If we ever add anything that is genuinely optional — analytics, for instance — this page and that banner both change, and nothing non-essential will load before you have agreed to it.

Purpose: Identifies your signed-in session. Without it there is no way to know a request is yours, so no page behind the login can be served.

Purpose: A short-lived signed copy of your session so that routine page loads do not each require a database lookup. Cleared when you sign out.

Purpose: Present only if you chose not to stay signed in. It tells the server to end your session when the browser closes rather than keeping it.

Purpose: Records that you have dismissed the cookie notice, so it is not shown again on every page. Holds no identifier and is never sent to the server.

Card payments are handled by Stripe Checkout, which is hosted on Stripe’s own domain. When you start a purchase you leave truuimage and land on checkout.stripe.com; any cookies Stripe sets there belong to that domain, are governed by Stripe’s privacy policy rather than this page, and are not readable by us. We do not embed Stripe’s scripts into truuimage pages, so no Stripe cookie is set on this site.

You can delete or block cookies for this site in your browser’s settings at any time. Because all of ours carry your session, blocking them signs you out and prevents you from signing back in — the public pages, including this one, keep working.

Signing out clears your session cookies immediately. Deleting your account, from Settings, removes the session records behind them as well; what happens to the rest of your data is set out in full on the Data Retention page. A session you simply abandon expires on its own after 30 days.
